Crew's first training session.

The Crew's first training session took place on Tuesday, 14th of April. That was the first contact with the barque since the end of the first stage of renovation works. This was also the opportunity to introduce the barque to new crew members.

Some important points were recalled regarding safety, the role of patrons, boscos and crew members. The barque then casted off and went for a short cruise along the coast of Evian. Back at the harbour, the crew members shared a friendly meal altogether.

Barque La Savoie obtained the sailing certificate allowing her to sail with passengers onboard. Her first public cruise will take place on 1st May 2015 and crew members will start training during this lapse of time.

The association provides a yearlong training, onboard La Savoie during the sailing season for practical training, and theorical training ashore in winter. Our most confirmed and motivated crew members can become bosco and then patron. Barque La Savoie needs new crew members to be able to cruise as long as possible!
