Philippe Deslous Photo Exhibition

We are pleased to inform you that a photo exhibition, "Reflections above Lac Léman", from Philippe DESLOUS, will take place. Half the profits of the sales will be given to the Fondation du Patrimoine (Heritage Foundation) to restore LA SAVOIE, the world's largest lateen rigged sail boat located in EVIAN LES BAINS.

The artist, journalist and photograph Philippe Deslous, gives a particular attention to the restoration of the Barque as his mother, who died when she was young, was native of Lausanne. Philippe Deslous, being half French (South West) and half Swiss, and in his young fifties, has always enjoyed the peacefulness of his mountains of origin hence the softness of his photos reflecting his relaxed personality. Since he was a teenager he got close to filmmakers : Lelouch, Vecchiali, and most of all his friend Jean Claude Guiguet whose muse was Françoise Fabian. He went to an aesthetics school for photo shots. Then he went to a Journalist school in Paris where he improved his framing for article in written press.

Two years ago, he showed his photos in Versailles gardens outside the castle and he was encouraged by Line Renaud. Last year, he innovated in exhibiting hiss work in a Kitchen galery in Mégève and Gstaad. In 2014, he was asked by Saint Maur's young talents to show his photos during their various exhibitions. His special feature is to take photos of landscapes' reflections on windows.

In the beginning of this year 2015, Philippe Deslous will exhibit "Reflexions above Lac Léman": a walk along the chalets' windows, and photos covering two special events: reindeer races in Jura in December 2014 and sled dog races at the Mont Blanc Odyssée in January 2015.

This photographic rendez-vous will take place with the help of the Fondation du Patrimoine, of the Association Mémoire du Léman, Suisse Magazine and the city of Saint Maur des Fossés, from Saturday 31st January until 14th February 2015, Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6.30pm.
