General Assembly, 14th of March 2015

Mémoire du Léman Association's General Assembly took place on 14th March 2015 in PUBLIER (74). Michel PITTACO, chairman of the Association, presided over the Assembly, where many members and local councillors were present.

Guy ABGRALL was listened to with great interest when he reported an overview of the Association's activities and the works done this winter on the Barque. The first stage of works is now over and the Barque should be launched by the 31st March.

Bernard PERIER gave the Assembly a financial report of the Association. Although the Association was able to financially achieve the first sequence of these works, a lot of work will still be necessary to get some new funds for the second stage, representing about 350 000 euros.

Gilles AUGER, Chantier BERNARD's manager, introduced the shipyard situated in Normandy and he gave some technical explanations on the works done on LA SAVOIE, answering many questions of people present in the Assembly. A very interesting debate took place between Gilles Auger and the audience.

After Michel PITTACO's speech, a vote for the new board members took place. Three new members were elected: Laurent ROUSSIN, Eric LIGNET and Michel BORETTI.

The first stage of works done on La Savoie was achieved thanks to our chairman Michel PITTACO's determination, Guy ABGRALL's technical knowledge and efficiency, Bernard PERIER's financial skills, and the volunteers' availability and efforts when working on La Savoie.

The Association managed to ensure the first stage of works but there is still a lot to do to achieve the second stage. If you wish to help us, you can give a donation to the Association through the Heritage Foundation (Barque La Savoie).

Please do not hesitate to contact us.
